    i'm interested in the manfrotto, but then its kinda over budget.. maybe is there any cheaper ball head to go with it?

    check out manfrotto's site for a recommended ballhead, according to ur max load. no point being a penny-wise but pound-foolish when u get a cheap ballhead dat DOESN'T support the load.

    how about the mafrotto leg with other brand ball head? will they match?

    they will, but the manfrotto 486 is one of the most valued head...

    yep. a new one will probably set u back ard $100. i used it before. very stable and can take a pro body + 70-200 ranged lens (with the lens mounted on the QR plate).

    thanks for all the recommendation..

    I got a manfrotto 190xb with 484RC2 ball head... din go for the 486RC2 as i dun tink i'll upgrade to equipments that will weight that much in the near future, and the 4kg max load by the 484Rc2 is enought..

    Got the tripod from TKFoto, and i would say their service is real good..

    Just fyi i bought my gear at CP yesterday: GITZO GT 1530 for $765, Manfotto 488RC2 $190...quite a good deal i think considering their original price tags (900 and 240 respectively)...but who am i to know.
