I had a short trip to Singapore, just stayed 24 hours there and then back to KL.
These are some of the shots I had managed to capture along Orchard Rd and a few others elsewhere. It's something you all Singaporeans see everyday and take for granted. Here's a 'foreigner's' viewpoint. Lonely pigeon. His shadow showed his frustrations. What's he up to? Even the wise old owls looked shocked. Raise the red lanterns. Local Area Networking? ![]() |

Off to work in the morning. Roadside newspaper stall and busy workers on mobile phone. Couple on the way up. For the love of Green and Red; See the ladies T-shirt colours! (that's lucky me) ![]() Thanks for viewing |

Hope you enjoyed your trip here.
But i find other than for pic 1, the "singapore" watermark is very irritating right in the middle of the photos |

Thanks for the comments.
grumpy; the 'Singapore' watermark was a result of batch processing. I tried to make them as transparent. Appreciate your feedback. waiaung; the red and white border are the Singapore colours. Secondly, you'll have to learn to see beyond the distractions to be able to capture the essence of a picture. That applies to photography, who do some people create beautiful images out of an ordinary scene? Because they see beyond the ordinary and able to block out the distractions. averynkh; the image you referred to was taken at f2.8, 1/20s, as I was walking towards the couple. The motion blur seen is caused by a forward movement and a slight panning on my part. Panning is essential when you attempt to capture subjects on the move at slower shutter speeds. I've done panning of F1 cars, so this is peanuts. The narrow DOF blurs out the proximal part of the image. No post-processing was done to create this image. |
