Playing with bubbles

This is Alex, my 3 1/2 year-old boy playing with bubbles in the back yard in Houston, Texas in the USA. He looks so innocence but he can be a brat at times.
Please let me know what I can do to make this a better picture. Thank you in advance.

What do you think? Personally, I think too much was taken out.

I prefer the first pic. A shallower depth of field give more focus on your son. Happy shooting.
