eric, thanks for the link.

I've tried it on the A710is, my friend tried on his A620.

Features tested:
1. battery meter: working fine, good stuff
2. using zoom button to adjust MF: i find it not really that useful
3. reading text files and folder: may come in handy
4. live histogram: kinda blocks to much of the screen, i'll pass on this
5. GAMES!!!: reversi and some boxworld game.. useful for decos
6. RAW: haven't really tried editting from raw but the file size (10-15% more) seems kinda small compared to oly raws

The software disappears completely without any side effects when you change the SD card or power off the cam, so i believe it should be warranty safe. And yes, it doesn't kill your cam.

7. Tried zebra: This is to show over and under exposed areas. Very useful if you're shooting contrasty shots

Just want to share that I tried the HDK on my A610 and it works great. Have had some initial problems reading .CRW & .CR2 files created by it. But after upgrading my picasa to 2.7 than no further issues. What I love most is the blended histogram and the zebra highlight. now i got a very compact good camera!
