My word... nice... very nice indeed.

Knowing the constraints and the and existing background/crowds, i would say that these 2 shots look great.

Only nit is the exposure which looks a wee bit under but overall, i like the background and the bokeh that was achieved.

Keep shooting!

Ok....quibbles.

These 2 shots scream for fill-flash.

Or was the high contrast in the first shot deliberate?

Mpenza... i agree it looks soft, but yet, it does someone complement the shots, in this case, don't you think?

I reckon the softness gives it a subtle touch to the picture...

hmm... good then Could still shoot next weekend. Would you be going for Jurong Point's show? Think they're held over the next 2 weekends as well, 1 pm, 4 pm and 6 pm (no 1 pm for Saturday show).

No more bugis? This place is good especially the first show because of the light. I was shooting at 1/1000.

But the light was top down due to the glass roof right?
U used spot metering? Or Multi?

my shots were taken on Kodak Ektrachrome ISO 1600. So they were extremely noisy.. i mean grainy. Used Neat Image on them which explains the softness. And I don't own a flash(yet).

Is it due to the scan? Or the metering? The shots look a touch underexposed to me.

For the first shot, perhaps if you spot metered the face you would have gotten a high-key background which might have certain artistic effect.

Yeah. Only light was top down sunlight. No spotlights at all. I used a mix of spot and center-weighted metering.

Misfired!

Well, nonetheless, save for the fact that it looks a tad under.. it's actually quite pleasing on the eye...

1st shot uncropped. 2nd shot cropped by a third to remove an underexposed(lighting not clothes) model.
