Default Konica Hexanon M Lenses

Hi, am interested in Konica Hexanon M lenses especially 21-35mm dual focal length lens. Anyone know where I can find these Hexanon-M lenses in Singapore and what the prices are like?

Good luck finding one of these here. Your most likely bet would be Japan. The Dual Hexanon was never released beyond the shores of Japan and many still reside there. Think only about 800 examples were ever produced before the line was shut down.

The very occasional example does pop up on evilbay from time to time (and usually from a Japanese retailer), going in the region of US$1600 or so.

Thanks for the info. Was under the impression that they were mass produced lenses and didn't know that they were such rare lenses. Will have to search around on Japanaese retailers that will ship overseas I guess. I think they would make good travel lenses, 21-35mm on a film camera and 28mm-47mm approx on the M8 (far future consideration kekeke).

Thanks for the link. The price is kinda expensive for me too, if I'm not wrong, you can get a 35mm summicron 2nd hand for that price. I think prices are probably going up recently due to the popularity of the M8 resulting in more people being in the market for lenses.

That link leads to some lens sample pictures and the Hexanon 35mm looks quite interesting, http://www.pazonada.com/equipment/hexanon_35/index.html

The ebay 21-35mm actually looks like it could be the same seller as the one on photo.net cos he posted the same samples link. Haven't heard of the Hexanon 60mm before. Did you know Konica made a collapsible 50mm as well. Quite surprised to see it and I think its rare as well.

The 60mm isn't that rare. It was released with the limited edition hexar rf. I think u can find a few new sets in sg if u look carefully. Hint, i have one!

Does that mean the 60mm has to be bought together as a kit? Any hints on where to find one?

I think the limited edition of Hexar RF comes with 50mmf1.2 not 60mm. There is one on eBay:

Hexanon UC 35mm f/2 is supposed to be very good:

I think its a good lens, optically it can't compete with a 35mm ASPH cron but it has its own unique fingerprint. I'd love to have one too

Based on what I have read (links above) and have seen, they are the same (MTF very similar), but the Hexanon has a more modern coating since it is newer and bokeh is "nicer" (but this again is subjective).

Time for shootout!
