    Default Flash ETTL + full manual. Does the flash still evaluate?

    If i am shooting an event indoors at 1/60, f/2.8 and ISO800 with flash, i just want to konw if the flash still adjusts its power level according to what it sees TTL.

    Like for example: I shoot two people 1.5m in front of me and then turn aroudn to shoot someone across the room. Does the flash automatically increase power to extend its reach? Or do i need to manually set it?

    I assume that it automatically increases the power, but would just like to confirm.

    My gear is in my signature.

    Thanks =)

    If only the camera is set to manual, I think the ETTL still works. Only when the flash itself is set to manual, you will have to adjust the flash output manually.

    oh yeah, forgot to make that bit clear too. only the camera is set to manual, flash may only have compensation (+2/3 or thereabouts).

    I'd expect ETTL to change the flash output accordingly.
    Try and see
    It is the camera, not the photographer.
