most likely you will get a foggy film, why would you want to do that?

ok, cross processing will make the "neg" very contrasty, so best is have a low contrast film to do cross processing.

you may ask around for near expired film, cos it is cheaper if you can find any.

What do you mean by film aging?

There are several methods, you can get expired film, which produces unexpected results like what catchlight mentioned.

You can artifically age your film by sticking the film in the sun or in the car.
These are call Heat-treated films, use to be a quite popular method. This rapidly deteriorate the film emulsion causing those off-colored and color cast effects.

You can burn and heat up your developed films, this will heat up the film causing color shifts and emulsion decomposition also producing unexpected and rather cool results if done "correctly"

I tried burning my films, polaroids, photos.
burning your photos are not recommended. it stinks badly, almost choked by the toxic fumes.

You can try burning photos of your ex-girlfriend/boyfriends as experiments if you don't wanna sacrifice any photos. heh heh
