To dear owners of F31fd,
Can someone advise if it's normal... I just gotten the camera for about 2 weeks now... I brought it on a holiday and most pictures turned out great. Recently, I have been taking test shots and realised the lenses made funny noise... or at least it does when focusing. On macro mode, or during low light, it tends to make noises while focusing. Is it normal?? I mean during the normal (strong sunlight environment) mode, the sound isn't as obvious cos probably it didn't need to adjust much. I got it from MS color... Should I bring it back or someone tell me it's normal?? Many thanks~ |

Last time my f31fd is pretty quiet. Send in to Fuji for check up. I also have a Canon PnS making those "gear meshing" noise when focusing, sent in to CSC, problem solved.

How loud the noise?
if the noise bothers you might as well sent for a check up or servicing if stills under warranty. |

USM lens no noise!
But I believe the TS really does mean the cam is making very noticeble noise, because I have a personal encounter of my old Canon PnS. You can actually hear the "EEEEEEeeee" sound, it is much louder than my DSLR shutter sound. |

Mmm... actually its bothering me a bit because you can definitely heard the "eekkkekkkekkk" before u shoot any pictures. My last camera definitely doesn't make any loud noise...
So I should go down to Fujifilm instead of returning to MS Color (they told me I can bring back if any problem, erm.. don't know what does that mean)?? Anyone done the servicing, can I take it back within the same day or how? |

I think shd be normal, my F31 also hv the same noise when focusing time.
I guess you can go back to MS, and try to compare the noise with other F31. Personally the noise doesn't really bother me |

This series of cameras are known to be noisy in focusing - particularly in macros. Usually doesn't bother me. Thing is to nail the shot, right. If noisy and can't focus then truly susah!
