Unhappy Macros gone bad

I managed to get some good shots today, but due to K10D banding issue kinda makes them disappointing. Whenever there's slight under exposed (especially the bokeh background) this criss cross or band noise start appearing. Could be my sensor problem, but my last email to Pentax service centre said it's just moire & that's it's common.

C&C are welcome, but please ignore the moire noise. Can't do anything about it

Shots taken with K10D + Vivitar (Kiron) 105mm

ah... i think u just described the prob i have with my d70 too. i can see noticeable horizontal banding in darker areas, esp those portions without much detail (e.g. consistent background color, like in the bokeh). but it is fine if the picture has details.

anyway, back to your pix. i like #1 & #3. #1 looks kinda surreal... like it was coming out from some inter-dimensional portal, with those portions in our dimension coming into focus

Very nice macros. All three are quite good in my book, but I do like the last one the best.

Keep them coming and hope you'd make some more people use Pentax cameras

Thanks for the kind words. Just did a bit more PP for #3 (I really love high contrast & saturation)
