Default the multiplication figures of angle finders... what do they mean?

    Hello all,

i like to crouch down to take some photos esp macro work and i am thinking to buy an angle finder for my canon 30d so that i can just view the viewfinder at a 90 degree angle rather than crawling down on the ground like a sniper.

the thing is, i noticed there is some 1.25x to 2.5x at the canon viewfinder C and for some cheapo china ones from ebay have 1x to 2x figures and i wonder what thee figures mean?

can anyone enlighten me before i commit to buy?

    thanks!
