Default Morning @ Upper Pierce Reservoir

Hi guys!

1st time posting in the forum! Was very inspired to see some excellent Singapore photos so decide to try to go and capture some nice sunrise!

Went in the early morning 6.30am to capture sunrise but the sun hide behind clouds. Insufficient lighting + plus the morning mist make photography quite tough for a novice like me.

Took a one big mixed bag of photo, got landscape, close up, abstract, potrait etc... PS + cropping

Hope to share them and also get lots of feedbacks! THANKS!!!

Went back to Upper Pierce Reservoir again last Sat morning with a friend. We went a bit of trekking inside the forest to look for a small pond with lots of aquatic fishes!

very surprised to find such a nice habitat hidden in our forest!!! however the recent morning downpour make the water quite muddy.... and the path there extremely muddy...

some pics from the "swamp" surrounding!

I think you are more than novice. Your angles and composition is very good. Cheers!

Good shots you have there. I like pic 5 and the mushrooms (Fungii) but pic 9 & 10 seems noisy. Try to shoot at lower ISO if possible and increase your exposure. But I think a few pics are from Lower Pierce Reservoir instead.

Nice series. Especially like #4, give me a peaceful feel, and show how small human is as compare to this world.

The sandals got the best ending story effect, you put yourself and your sandals before photography!

Many beautiful shots. It's odd to say but I like the 'Drain' too.

for set 1, upz for
3 - interior of a drain? doesn't look like it at all
4 - concept of contrast is clear
5 - colours are vibrant, making the subject look lively
7 - composition is good but did you shake?
9 - very soothing effect when the image reaches the ccd in my head
