I think the monochromes have to be more saturated for this effect to work better.

watchdog: contrary to increasing saturation, i actually wanted to go even milder on the monochrome, if you would like, do feel free to edit and post what you have in mind ![]()

I quite like it because it is alternative..

great! love it! the only nitpick is perhaps more contrast in the thorax - some tweaking of the curves - or it seems rather messy/complex right now.
