1. It's very likely to be the kit lens on the P-1, so Aug - Sep.
2. The 12-60mm will definitely be more versatile, but chances are the 11-22mm will smack it down on sharpness.

Gee - comparing this to the 14-54 is like comparing the E500 to the E510.
Not a very big difference but an improvement in the right direction nonetheless... Slightly wider and longer and faster focusing with the addition of SWD. Have heard from the guys at my regular photo-shop that it'll cost around S$1,200 and will likely be available by end Oct. I'm not entirely sure how reliable their info is, so don't quote me on this. ![]()

But at S$1200, it's a good bargain as it is like almost like buying the 11-22 and 14-54 together but you miss out 5-degrees of angle-of-view vs the 11-22 (but gain 8.7-degrees vs the 14-54) and most probably the 11-22 is the sharper lens. Last edited by cjtune; 12th May 2007 at 11:20 AM. |

Dun remind me... have to start saving now...
sidetrack abit; I was lookin at the lens catalog, besides the 12-60mm F2.8-4.0 which is coming, there's also a 14-35mm F2.0 Zuiko which will also be released. So far I am only using the kit lens with my E330 (14-45mm) and zoom (40-150mm), which of the new lens who be a 'better' add-on for day-to-day shootin? I have no particular style, but just limited by $$$. What do you guys think? ![]() |

The 14-35mm falls into the "Top Pro" category, so...

For your current setup, this is the best lens. You only carry 1 lens instead of 2.

And Blu-By-U is recommending me a leica? Just joking but feels like I am looking for 2nd hand car with budget of 25k and you guys are recommending me porshe boxer convertibles! ![]() |
