    would anyone recommend the canon powershot g7? has anyone used this one already? i took a brochure from csc.. found their specs above avg pns cams.. hehe..

    G7 is prosumer class, not really a pns. If you venture to G7, you must also take a look of Ricoh GX100 or the older GR Digital. Or Nikon new P5000.

    abit OT wif u only - ricoh would be better cam compared the nikon p5000? since this nikon is better @ slrs..

    I'm buying 2 easy to use compact PnS cameras and was considering the Fujifilm F31 but it uses XD card so now considering the Nikon L12 with VR. Cheap and easy to use. $290 without gst each.
    Nikanon D3FXMarkIIIDS-1H with 5000mm f/128 & 0.500mm Macro f/0.4 & 0.70-2000mm f/256

    Where did you get the quote of $290 for F31fd? The quote seems more like for F20.

    I would rate image quality a more important aspect than the availablitiy of image stabilizer. And I would compare L-series of Nikon with A-series of Fujifilm. The F31 is in a different league on its own.

    get Fuji F20, $299 only ! with Super CCD sensor, your indoor and night photos will look great..!
