Default Hoya filter price difference, wow!

I bought a Hoya UV(N) HMC Filter(77mm) from TCW for $55. Later I went to Orient Photo at SLS saw it selling the same item for $26! Isn't it a bit extreme different? I am not complaining but just wondering about the legit of the $26 one.

That's quite a difference...sure it's the same Hoya HMC or the non-coated UV version? I don't recall any HMC that cheap the last time I visited there.

Orient Photo packaging all very alternative, because their filters seem to be from China. Make sure it is the same product. As far as I remember, their price difference from other shops for Hoya filters is MARGINAL - so I think you probably made a mistake.

was at Orient earlier today, was looking at filters too. but i dont remember the HMCs are so cheap as to $26

for comparison sake, the 77mm CPL from Hoya is $70, the 77mm Kenko Pro 1 Digital CPL is $100..

Initially I though my eyes were playing trick on me, so i ask the lady what's the price - she said $26. I even told her i bought it for $55 and she blah blah about something about their cost is low. Not sure about the coat thing but it is exactly the same package as the one i bought - UV(N) HMC. I know it well cause i have 2 of these filter.
