Beautiful, I wanted to try marco shooting but I do not have the lens yet, may I ask what kind of lens are you using to take these, and where does the lighting comes from, flash of spot lights?

Nice! I also like #1. Anyone knows the species of this spider?
I know where a few of them live near my house :P. But the biggest one rests deep in its web & I cannot get close to it with a reverse 50mm setup. Intend to try a different setup this weekend -- hopefully, will be close enough to shoot ![]() |

So your buddy will help to shine on the subject and you simply focus and shoot Cheers

as mentioned in the above reply.. it is really not so different from day shoot.. except that night buddy system works best..But with all that said, it is possible to have one hand holding a torch and the other a camera and shoot.. but need lots of practice Cheers

Looks like what is named the common garden spider or Parawixia dehaani.
Nice shot! http://habitatnews.nus.edu.sg/guideb...ia_dehaani.htm |
