    is there any program to let you test for hot pixels??

    Basically, you don't have to test it...
    It will be there when the pixels become too hot!

    you don't need a software to test. just take a long exposure pic with your lens cap on and check for any abnormal bright spots.

    Though there's a proggie to chk the brightness of the pixels.....

    there's a "deadpixeltest" program. It will help with "lens cap on" shots.
