Try Color Lab at Coleman Street? They have some of the best acid-resistant, black sheets (or white sheets) wedding albums for sale. I usually buy these albums whenever I am on wedding photography assignments.

I've been looking around for good albums too...for use with weddings or gifts. Been to Popular, Carrefour, Giant and Kounikowa with no luck. Nothing classy enough.

Anyone knows?

YEAH! That's a good source! I usually bought a couple of their ablums to keep. One idea which I usually did for my clients, is to use these albums for so-called photo-journalist wedding photography album.
1) Buy those black cardboards ablum.
2) Buy those ink pens in different colors (yellow, orange, gold, silver etc)
3) Buy double sided tapes to paste photos
4) Arrange the photos in sequence
4) Scribble some notes on the cardboard (beside photos) example time of arival of bridegroom etc.

Well, if you want the really good looking ones, try BookBinders. Expensive though. The largest is like $80++. Pages are acid free.

Might be a little out of topic. But does anyone knows where to get the matted type of lamination that you sometimes see on those professional wedding album?

I have a friend who recently got a very bad service from one of those 'professional' studio and have ended up wanting to scan in the photos and printing them himiself before applying the matted lamination. Will appreciate any information or alternatives on that. Thanks.

Try Bras Basah. I saw some in one of the art shops there. I think should be the 2nd or 3rd floor, can't remember. They are selling them in rolls. Have to cut the sheets to your required sizes yourself. Good luck.

Haha..
Yeah, usually I'll ask my gal assistant ie sister, to help to write down the notes. I guess my handwriting is equally bad (others may thought I'm a doctor by profession!)

Ok, so usually if my clients (friends) engage more than 1 photographer for their wedding day, I'll usually suggest them to made two albums. First, the normal color wedding photos slotted into standard wedding album. And second, black/white photos on the black cardborad albums with handwritten notes. I think the latter is more personal, and I usually like it most.

Stanley Lim Colour Centre provides this kind of lamination service.

For more information, you can refer to the following thread:

That's why we are photographers, not painters, calligraphers, etc. Think it's got to do with over usage of PC (typing), PDAs, etc.

I think colourlab does this too, but is it the same lamination? anyone knows where to do lamination that's totally smooth? (not the stiff kind though)
