Simple -

Get a point and shoot camera.

Maybe underwater housing too since you want to do underwater photography.

You look like you barely know anything (your question is too general) so just get a simple camera and work on composition.

How deep are you planning to dive? If it's 10Mtrs or less, I think Olympus have a few P&S (point & shoot) cameras. 30 Mtrs or deeper, I think you'll need better housing despite having the olympus being "waterproof" for security sake.

Best if you can check with the guys in the underwater photography subforum.

get and PnS u can afford and work on ur composition and stuff u like to shoot..
only after shooting for awhile, den you'll know wat u like to shoot and u can upgrade to suit ur needs

A lot of the Canon A series cameras have an underwater casing that's good for up to 30 meters. Then again, it costs more than the camera.

another thing for underwater photography. One thing u need to consider is long battery life. Go for F31fd (580 shots). Check out the promotion at MS colour. F31 has an underwater casing oso.
