no worry, nothing so heated up. merely an open discussion.

i wud also like to add a few question for Gunbucker. does it mean if i run windows on AMD, its illegal? AMD is not Intel (which u mentioned any Intel CPU). what about those who ran/run windows on emulation on their G5 & G4 or older macs (non intel hardware). legal or illegal?

where exactly do u draw the line? again, merely a discussion. anybody can feel free to chip in.

with regards to apple repairs, actually quite a bit of the repairs u can do yourself if u dig around the internet for info. parts are also not an issue if u know where to go.

sometimes when i open up a mac and take a peek inside i'm impressed with the way the engineers thought things out!

yes, they caused me a few hairs lost when i opened up my then-gf (now wife hehe)'s G4 iBook, to replace the internal hdd. but when i put the thing back together again, i thought to myself, that's some freakin' amazing design!

anyway, have always admired Apple's industrial design (esp. jonathan ive's era)

ok, OT, back to the thread!

G4 ibook... one of the tougher ones to open..

isn't jonathan ive's still in ID?? have the apple industrial design book showcasing the apple design and machines from before the blue and white G3 (8years and mine's still running!), interesting insight into ID.

    1. You need to buy the Mac versions of Office/CS3
    2. Yes
    3. Yes, strongly recommended.
    4. You just need some patience to switch from your Windows mindset to how OS X works.

How do you get keyboards imprinting on the screen???

In many cases, Apple support is worse than Dell. Even if they recall a product and your product is within that range (the faulty G3 motherboards for example) you still have to call them every day non-stop for them to agree to your replacement.
