Default Canon Selphy Printer

Anyone uses Selphy printer here?

I realized I have to tweak the RGB colors a lot in the printer properties to get a more accurate color tone.

Your feedback pls

hi ianpaice,

mine was fine just that i need to up my brightness level. But after sending my set to canon for servicing, they recalibrated it and it is fine now. Try going down to canon service centre to get it calibrate?

Hi,

just tell them that you got a calibrated monitor but the print from the printer seems dull or not right.

I just sent in my CP720 for calibration. With warranty should be free. Without warranty I dunno...

Actually this is quite ridiculous rite... I've been hearing quite a few people sending in their brand new Canon dye-sub printers for calibration where the technician has to pry open the printer and do stuffs, like it's faulty or something.

Bad QC on Canon's part or wad...?

Seems like it's a known problem to the service centre. I called them and told them about the pictures coming out dark then immediately they say I can bring it down for alignment. At the service centre too, no questions asked. I just say the prints are a bit dark and they took it in liao.

Actually I am facing this problem of having my prints turned out to be much darker than wat i saw in the monitor.

So after the servicing... does it help?

I sent it for calibration too. Definitely helps. My prints are brighter now. But now, I feel the colours are a bit too warm. Going to send it there again. Hehe.

I am using the CP400. My prints are also dark. Need to adjust the brightness. Warranty over, can I send for calibration? Will call them if they will charge.

Called Canon already. They told me that this under-exposed photos is only prevalent in the newer Selphy printers. As my CP400 is an old one, it could be another problem all together.
