Hi, I just got my E500 with the duak kit lens. Just some question:
what are the brand of third party lense that i can use? Given the crop factor of x2 am i correct to say that the following will be like that: As according to the 35mm film eg, a 17-50mm f2.8 will be a 34-100mm f2.8 a 70-200mm f2.8 will be a 140-400mm f2.8 I shoot mostly landscape and a little bit of sport Currently, I'm looking the 14-54mm f2.8-3.5 x 2 = 28-108mm f2.8-3.5 50-200mm f2.8-3.5 x 2 = 100-200mm f2.8-3.5 Which should cover the range that I wanted to shoot...

You can get some Sigma lenses with a FourThirds mount. As well you can use some film lenses.
There's LOTS of info about your new camera on the following link: http://www.wrotniak.net/photo/oly-e/ Last edited by Mikefellh; 3rd May 2007 at 06:19 AM. |

Avoid the cheap Sigma 55-200. The 40-150 is a much better option.
