On Vesak Day, Buddhists all over the world commemorate events of significance to Buddhists of all traditions: The birth, enlightenment and the passing away of Gautama Buddha. As Buddhism spread from India it was assimilated into many foreign cultures, and consequently Vesak is celebrated in many different ways all over the world.

Something like plating but however the quality of the gold is very low but never stickers.

Was actually thinking about a shoot during vesak day but I'm not buddhist so would apreciate any info.
Photography (flash) allowed during ceremony? Don't want to goto the hottest temple - its way too crowded - not nice to be in the way of the devotees with tripod & camera gear, so which are the next few hotter Buddhist temples? What are the ceremony timing? Any other things to take note of - like no shoes/ no footwear, etc. |
