Default Newbie U/Water Shots

Dear All,

This is my first attempt at U/Water shots using a Canon A95 encased in a Dicapac. Happy viewing. Alot of them are just snaps i reckon but I pretty much pleased by how they turned out.

Feel free to jump in and share the names of whatever I have shot since i have no idea what they are... Having said that, I can't wait to continue to do & learn more so do share.

Looking at the pics, you must have shot without flash as can see from the lack of red colour in the photos. You might want to perform a manual white balance calibration before taking the photos or use flash to bring out the red colour again. However the disadvantage of using built-in camera flash underwater is the possibility of back scatter from the particles if the water is not crystal clear..

Hi wolfgang, so u didnt buy a ewa marine?

this pic here, is a titan triggerfish .. take care not to get too close to it, it is known to be easily provoked and attack divers .... esp during nesting season between apr and may..

one tell tale sign of defensive mode is it'll have this horn thingie on its head erected...
