    Default 256CF Card Problem

    I have faced a very terrible problem last nite.
    I am not sure what had happened to the Ridata CF card...

    The CF card when read in Windows, shows no files but yet showing only 30MB!...All my photos are gone!

    Tried to format in Windows but still at 30MB.

    I treid to format with my G2 and then it returns back to 252MB.

    Can anyone tell me what happen.

    Sound like the CF is corrupted to me. If you have formated it in G2 and it say 252MB then confirm the photo is gone. Not sure there is any special software that is still able to recover the photos. I also use the same CF, better pray hard it doesn't happen to mine!

    Thanks Kevin,
    The photos are gone before I format it. But the reader shows there are abot 5MB free space out of 30MB.

    Conclusion -> My 256MB bcomes a 30MB CF Card!!!!..

    I have no choice but to format the card using my camera...

    there are some online services which help you to retrieve lost data on memory cards. u could try those if you're desperate enough.
