Default X in Japan 2007

I like to backpack alone....and have done solo backpacking in Korea for 2 weeks in 2005 and in china for 6 weeks in 2006.

This year in spring, I went to Japan. The reason...mainly to visit the national museums there...and cherry blossoms as well.

Below are some of the lousy pics taken by a lousy photographer.....for those who may be curious....all pictures here are taken either with a Canon 17-85IS or a 70-300IS.

I have plans to go to Africa for backpacking and to backpack for a yr or so in the future....anyone interested? PM me.

#1 - Taken while waiting for a train

#2 - When I was in Kamakura, dropped by a temple and took a snap shot of it

#3 - Cherry Blossom

#4 - Taken at the same place as the above.

#5 - I not good with black and white....

#11 - You shoot, I shoot you.

#12 - Somewhere close to the Tokyo palace ground.

#13 - In the palace ground

#14 - In the palace ground

#15 - Yasukuni Shrine. Quite funny and interesting. If you are familiar with historical events from meiji restoration to End of World War II, it is a must go. If not...you will not appreciate the funny side of the Shrine.

Sometimes you wonder, should you travel for long period while you are young or after you retire.

#27 - More of Meiji Jingu

#28 - Someone taking wedding pictures over there.

#29 - I actually like this pic quite abit. Especially when it goes with the image on top. Any comments on taking non-focus pic? Does it work over here?

#30 - Inside there got a exhibit of photographs on wars and poverty, quite interesting but sad.

If excluding my shopping expenses (bought my 70-300IS in Japan), less than 2k for airfare, accom, transport, makan....blah blah blah over 15 days.

The places I been to and explore: Tokyo, Kamakura, Himeji, Koyasan, Kyoto, Nara and Nagoya.

this is among the best of the series in terms of composition and depth of field. a little enhancement with leveling and saturation can give a bit more punch. and it is good that not much of moire is seen. what DSLR are you using?

another one i like is the cherry blossom.

p.s. numbering sequence would be good for reference
