Default Color Correction Filter Use and Digital Cameras

With digital capture and manipulation, does color correction filters, e.g. 81/82 and FL-D or FL-W filters, still play an important role at the point of image capture?

Appreciate your comments both from a technical/logical perspective as well as from the personal preference perspective.

Default Re: Color Correction Filter Use and Digital Cameras

can consider useless in digital photography.

instead use 81 and 82 filter, you may use (Kevin) color temp in WB setting.

for FLD or FLW, it is not very accurate for correcting fluorescent light, you will get better result by doing custom WB.

more over, not using any filters, you are avoiding light and image quality loss.
