Is there any way to revert back to V1.10 after this?

Pentax seems to be putting nondescript firmware upgrades after V1.10 ............... nothing remarkable

Give me ISO 3200 and I will think about upgrading otherwise I am sticking with V1.10.

Better don't take the risk now, probably you can't reverse it back Actually nothing new for this upgrade if you don't use the remote feature at all

Basically you can use the Remote Assistant software to control the camera (taking photos directly from you computer when the camera is connected). It might not be any use at all for most users, but some do like it.

I for one never tried that yet...

Vista?!?? *cough cough*
When I was in a bookshop with my wife last time, there were stacks of books on Vista.
One was entitled "How Microsoft Vista works"....
My first response to that was "You mean it works?"

* Off topic : Do not intend to move to Vista because ironically, I believe its not secure enough.
I understand from what I read almost all the security companies like Symantec and McAfee were denied access to key kernal areas of the OS unless they were willing to share their code with Microsoft for audit purposes. Naturally they did not, so protection from all these products may lack features found in the XP versions. I could be wrong or the saga has moved on...but whatever, I am quite happy with XP being able to do the minimum of what I need...pity they are killing it early to boost Vista sales...sigh...*

ok...back on topic, is there a similar pentax raw codec already available for XP?
