Retouched a photo I took when I was just starting out. Junked it originally because I was still shooting JPG and foolishly left it on AWB, had some strange colour casts.
Now with a little more knowledge of Adobe® Photoshop® software ( ), I thought that it was worth saving after conversion to mono.Seeking C&C on the mono techniques again. ![]()

it is more like a air brush painting than photo.
anyway, hand railing touching the head looks strange. square crop will work better |

Come to think of it yeah. Could this be due to excessive use of dodge/burn? I thought it looked quite alright in the full-sized original. Maybe the grain isn't obvious after I resized for web.Hmmm. Square crop. Alright. Would try to explore that avenue... though that would mean I first have to learn how to "see" in square.
