If you are specifically looking for the replacement model that uses similar grey color ink cartridges, then it will be photosmart D5160.
Alternative you can look at D7160 and D7360, both which uses the six-individual-ink system. |

yup...sold out, was going to pick up the B9180 also. Since I have time to think a bit now, tell me, in your opinion how does or how do you think the B9180 compares to the HP designjet 90?
I'm pretty much sold on the B9180 because like you said, the black and whites are the best I've seen as well...the only thing that makes me think twice is the A3+ maximum size whereas the designjet 90 can go larger. designjet 90, good quality and larger sizes, or B9180 and it's amazing prints but only up to A3+ have a great day ![]() |

Different class. The new Z-series Designjet is the stretched, roller-fed version of the B9180.

thanks guys.
i woleheartedly agree the b9180 is tops for black n white...and my only reservation is i know there will come a time i want to do some canvas prints. when you add in stretching, i just think the b9180 just won't be large enough. although, i really am not sure how the DJ90 will handle smaller jobs, also how is the DJ as far as bronzing. i know the b9180 is again the tops with no bronzing at all. i'm at a point where i may sacrifice the larger size prints for the absolute unmatched quality of prints from the B9180 and if need be, job out the larger than A3+ prints elsewhere. from your experience, what is a common size your clients ask you for...or should I say the most popular size prints you are asked for? yeah, i'm a newbie with the printing part of it. i usually just have to turn in a file and the magazine will deal with the printing or layout so i'm not too familiar with what the common size prints are. anyways, hope to have more input in this thread and no doubt, the B9180 is the best and if i had more money to throw down i would get the Z ![]() |

2. is B9180 color better than say top end Selpy ES1? 3. Anybody use B8330? opinion? thanks! |
