Default What to look out for a 2nd hand DSLR?

With the 10D around the corner that is going to press down the value of the D60, I wonder what to look out for in a second-hand DSLR.

How do I look out for shutter wear and dust on the CCD? Is dead pixel a problem? Does the LCD loose brightness over time? What else is there to look out for?

bring along a laptop and test-fire a few shots on the spot. then open up and look at the image very closely...

if possible, shoot a entire frame of white. any dust or dead pixels will show up easily.
