Most of the time we choose to look at things we want to. DIfferent education and culture environment sculptures our mind differently to look at things

Well yes. I am in agreement with the statement from a psychological point of view. But what does this got to do with photography?

it affects how you make your photographs, and what you make of other people's photography.

Ever heard the anecdote of the boy who grows up locked in a cave surrounded by complete darkness, and doesn't find it odd because he has never known anything else, or experienced a greater form of freedom? It's pretty similar to what this means. We cannot comprehend what we haven't experienced.
