Default shooting to computer

hi guys,
i have a question. how do you shoot straight into your computer's harddisk? i see many captureNx and camera control software but i dont know which one is the one. i downloaded the trial ver of camera control but it didnt work out. i know if you have a phase one you can use capture one pro right? i have a D80.

it should be nikon capture 4 camera control.

Actually, what is your question? Are you going to install a software on to your computer or are you selecting which software to install on your computer?

For D80, if you just need to view what you shoot on the camera, Nikon Capture & picture project will be enough...Camera control pro software is for remotely control the camera using the PC and it also able to load custom curves on to it.
If you need more editing function Nikon capture NX are able to easly adjust those dark or light areas and it is very simple to do it. But you have to buy it after the 30 days trial.

u need camera capture pro to do it. try downloading the trial version from nikon.com.sg.

hi. i downloaded that already. but it can't detact my camera. i havent installed picture perfect and the software that came with my camera. could that be why?

check ur menu. IIRC, u need to change ur camera to PTP/Mass storage mode (?) b4 the PC can sync with ur cam.

been a while since i last use camera capture....

you need the lastest Capture Pro version 1.1.3 IIRC and also your mass storage to PTP.
Earlier version does't not work with D80.
Website stat ver 1.1.0 cannot,then 1.1.1 and 1.1.3 able to.
But when i use ver 1.1.1 also cannot detect.
Not sure if anyone able to use that on D80.
