Perhaps you might want to put more of the sand pit into your frame the next time.Can't really tell much without the pit.=)

using 300mm...about 20m away as I try to make use the whole full frame shot without cropping...it will be much easier to use with 70-200mm...of course wide angle zoom is the most simple way as I can shoot don't without need to aim at itwhen using wireless trigger when u mount your cam around the pit area

I tried to capture something more challenging...capture when the contestant is landing on the sand pit is a normal shot to me...don't know whether u know what I mean... when they r in the air u have less than 1 sec to recompose and to make sure they r in the whole frame, If u r talking about capture both the athletics in the air with the sand pit, then I need the 70-200mm to do that but that is not I want...
