    Default Threshold to test CCD?

    Dear Guys,

I've come across articles that talk about using 'Threshold' in Photoshop to tweak the picture to do a test for cleanliness of the CCD. But when i tried it on my own, the picture just turned into black and white with lots of mess in it. Can anybody share how it's done?

Besides taking picture of a white paper, how other way can we test the cleanliness of the CCD?

    Thanks for replying

shoot clear blue sky at lowest ISO and high F stop eg F22.
should be able to see small particles on ur sensor.

Bring it into photoshop, then Auto Levels and Voila
you have you "how dirty is your sensor" pic

    Hope this helps
