You have really progressed a lot in such a short time.

Your pp is so much better, more controls in the colors of your results.
Sharper pics too.

I prefer this lot of pics as compared to some of your previous which are portrait orientated. My opinion is that landscapes should be presented in landscape orientation (hence the name). But of course there are exceptions.

You're using a different camera for these shots. K100D?

Thanks for sharing.

I like #1 & #5 but #1 would be better if it has better contrast.

Thanks teerex, I try. =D

Yes, using K100D, no hot spot on kit lens, so I am allowed to use F/8.0 and smaller apertures. Finally!

Thank you for your comments! =) Much appreciated.

I know what you mean, hehe.

#1 is HDR, I think I shouldn't have merged it but delete finger too itchy, so the originally normally exposed one is gone. If you check the sky the clouds are blurred quite badly, I like the house, but I do not like the sky for this shot.. =( Did try to play with Curves but will end up enhancing the unnatural blur in the clouds. Will try to Patch it up when I'm in the mood, hehe.

Thanks! =D

I muz say you are really improving by leaps and bounds! Nice shots!
#2 works for me..would prefer it with a longer shutter speed to freeze the water.

#1 and #5 are nice... Guess I and Dennis prefer to have #1 more contrast.

Good work!

Cheers!

Thank you StanGetz! =)

Yeah, come to think of it much more static water would have given the shot a better feel, didn't realise that. =/

#5 is my favourite among them.
Personally, i'd try to get the sky a little darker shade of blue.

This new cam of yours works well for IR pictures Nice & sharp

So now able to shoot with a better DOF. The K100D is good for IR leh! I'm going to include. that up in the Cameras Capable Sticky.

Saw your posts of the color pics done with the K100D also. Hey portrait orientations also works well for landscapes, I was wrong.

Yeah, I chose it because it seemed quite good for IR, and I like the on-body IS. Well, better than most of the other choices out there at catering to my needs, hehe.

Thanks! Need to get the correct WB on-cam, getting pinkish photos out of cam despite fiddling for half an hour on leaves and shrubs with the IR filter on, quite sian.

Portrait landscapes work, in my opinion, if you have interesting foreground. Can include both the sky and the foreground.

If no interesting foreground then landscape would probably be better, if the scene is suitable "wide", hehe. Just a personal view la.

Yes, it is very good for IR! <3 <3 And I love the options that open up now, glad that I got it earlier than planned, hehe. Though it is significantly different from prosumer (H2) when I take, must compose without filter and then screw on filter, is a lot less hassle than I thought. =)

Did you try playing around with exposure settings when you do your white balance? Maybe set to negative EV.

Did, even set up tripod to take custom WB, hehe.

Negative EV.. Hmm, will try next time, haven't been playing with EV much..
