unfill warrantly card

Just got a second hand Panasonic FZ5 with a unfill warrantly card. Wonder if I send the warrantly card. Will the warrantly be valid ? Understand that for computer part, we will verfiy with the purchase receipt for the purchase date. Will panasonic just recognise warantly instead of the purchase receipt ?

My girlfriend use to work in panasonic, from what I know is that they will look at the top right hand alphabet and numeric digit to indentify roughly which month and year the camera was bought but how ever is better to bring along ur purchase receipt and warranty card if not they maight ask you to go back to the dealer to get a new invoice from them.
