Just got my S5pro today..... tried to view the test photos using CS2 but realised that my CS2 couldn't open Fuji raw file(RAF)
. What are the supporting s/w for RAF file? CS3 and Lightrooms? Just burned a big hole in my pocket, now need to buy another s/w again Any freeware? |

Highspeed - you may want to check if you've got the latest Adobe Camera Raw patched. I got it and my CS2 could read the RAW files out of the S5. Though I cannot say that I like it, I prefer Fuji's HU better, that's just my preference.
Hope this works for you. |

if you use cs2 then you need camera raw 3.7 or later. 4.0 just released few days ago.

I'm using Camera Raw 3.7 and have no problem opening RAF in CS2.
BTW, when I use Nikon Capture with Nikon's NEF files, I found it easier to adjust white balance and colors within the application itself before exporting to jpg. With Adobe Camera Raw, is there any eyedropper tool in the screen that'll let me set white and black points? I haven't been exploring whether there's any white balance adjustment apart from the presets. |

Too exited when opened the box and never noticed that is a s/w inside. Antway, just installed the s/w in my PC and try....but not as powerful as CS2 and no Level adjustment which is very important tool for photo editing.

ACR 4.1 has been released which supports S5pro raw format officially on CS3. Here is what Thomas Knoll, one of the developer, said on dpreview:
"One of the changes when I added official Fuji S5 support was to update the S/R blending algorithms for the S5 sensor. (The unofficial support was just using the S3 algorithms for the S5, which is not ideal since chip is slightly different). To use these new algorithms with Camera Raw versions 2.4 through 3.7, use the free DNG Converter 4.1 to make "Linear" DNG files (not the normal raw DNG files). These Linear DNG files will be larger, but will have the updated SR blending logic "burned" into them, so 2.4 through 3.7 will be able to process them correctly. ACR 4.1 has lots of other improvement, but this is a way to properly process Fuji S5 files in ACR 3.7 and ACR 2.4 within the limits of the feature set of these ACR versions." You can download ACR 4.1 here. |
