Hey I have a Nikon D70 with kit lens. I get assignments from a company where I have to go into nightclubs and take pictures. The sad Part is I am not able to capture the club lighting. As in in MOS and all they have amazing lighting right ? Some of my peer photographers are able to capture it but I am not able to do that. Can anyone suggest settings for making trails ? as in a moving source of light leaving a trail but the hand moving it is clear ? Any help will me appreciated !
thanks ! |

at time no choice, have to shoot at high ISO.
noise is just a by-product. no need to worry one. |

You'll need a fast lens and preferably with VR too.

If you have D70 only and no D200 or other that have better noise control. If you are afraid of D70's noise when high ASA, where the situation and location need high ASA, don't shoot lah

Heh. Clubs are always abit of a challenge due to the ever changing lighting conditions. What you need definitely are nice wide aperture lenses. And by that I mean even wider than 2.8.
WB is subjective also lah bro. You can always play around with it during post-processing if shot in RAW. Can produce some rather interesting colours. At any rate, the AWB in the D70 isn't really very good anyway. So going RAW might be the better option. ortega: TS mentioned its from a company. And its an assignment. So... assignment means being paid right? Otherwise it's called a freebie. And if it is paid... ![]() ![]()
