only on manual or auto mode. no ttl mode as D200 uses i-ttl from nikon. your flash don't support i-ttl.

Are you familiar with flash auto mode (it's not the same as TTL), or using a flash on manual? |

Can be used. I'm using a 45CT5 with my D200 and D70.
As have been answered, no TTL. Use in manual/auo mode. To shoot in flash auto mode: Set flash to desired auto mode f/stop, e.g.f/5.6, f/8 ... Set camera to manual mode and match camera's f/stop to one set on the flash. Shutter speed can be from 1/125sec to 1/200sec. After shooting check your preview and adjust shutter speed for desired results, the D200 can sync at higher than 1/200. If you're bouncing the top flash head, don't forget to switch the flash to fire both the upper and lower. Last edited by teerex; 18th April 2007 at 11:30 AM. |

should be able to connect to ur PC sync terminal on the left side of ur D200 body..the port with only 1 pin.. If not can try to search for a hotshoe to PC sync contact device at CP Penin..cost should be around 20-30..

Uhm. I think you got it the other way round. The D70s cannot do FP sync. The D200 can.
Native max sync speed on D70s is 1/500s. D200 is 1/250s.

the trick is you need to use a non ttl flash, or use nikon flash but mask out the rest of the contact point (except the main contact point right at the center) in the camera hotshoe.

The orthodox way..
We are talking abt a metz flash here which uses pc sync..hence the ability to do hi-speed sync.. For Nikon speedlights, have to tape up the smaller circular contact points to do it.. But no iTTL..only manual flash.. U will need it as fill flash for ur subjects for bright sunny days and sunset shoots..
