Just got this lens from b&s (thanks to sykestang for bringing it in from HK) today, a very nice little lens. Here are some quick snaps by this lens:

Some wide open F2 testing shots:
![]() Center crop: ![]() ![]() Center crop: ![]() Wide open it's quite sharp if focusing at the right point. Haven't used MF lens for sometime, now I need to get use to it again. All photos were taken w/ K10D handheld in jpg, default setting. Only did some minor level/curve adjustments in CS2. Some USM applied on resized samples but not the center cropped ones. Later on I'd do some comparison between this one and the FA43 which happens to be my favorite lens nowadays ![]() Cheers and happy shooting. |

Thanks. The lens is very sharp indeed, if focused correctly
That's the main reason that I got this lens I guess ![]() ![]() |

Very nice shots. The colors are pretty good (based on center crop). Love to see how it is compared to FA 43

When the lens was reserved almost immediately, I knew it was you
![]() I have the M42 version from chiif, the official Cosina Voigtlander dealer here. It is one of my favourite lens... and it poisoned me deeper to get a 180mm APO-Lanthar one too... haha. Aiming for the 125mm APO-Lanthar later.

Congrats bro on your new purchase. The lens looks like a keeper. If you ever want to let go of it, can give me a buzz.
![]() BTW I have secured the stock of a lot of Vivitar Series 1 lenses in a liquidation sale. I will post what I have available once I take an inventory check. Last edited by creampuff; 17th April 2007 at 06:30 PM. |

I have quite a number of Vivitar and Sigma lenses for Minolta AF & Nikon AF mount. For PK/A mount I only have the following:
Vivitar Series 1 24-70mm f3.8-4.8 macro (2 sets) Vivitar Series 1 70-210 f2.8-4.0 macro (2 sets - both tentatively reserved) Vivitar 35-70mm f3.5-4.6 AF (1 set) Vivitar 100mm f3.5 macro (1 set) Sigma 28-70mm f2.8-4 UC AF (1 set, but might get another 2 sets) Sigma 28mm f2.8 MF (1 set) Pentax F 35-80mm f4-5.6 (1 set) Pentax FA 28-80mm f3.5-4.7 (1 set) All the lenses are new old stock and without warranty. All are in perfect working condition in original box. Optically good and never mounted on a camera. Will work out pricing later. |

Unfortunately I missed out getting more Pentax mount lenses as a foreign buyer literally took the entire lot of the Pentax mount items - I missed out on the Pentax 400-600mm mirror, a selection of Pentax-A and FA primes plus a bunch of the Series 1 70-210mm f2.8-4 Apo AF.
However as consolation, I managed to pick up a number of Minolta AF primes. I will work thru the inventory and post in B&S later. |
