    60mm is better, due to shorter focal lenght and wider angle of view
    for a more 3D image

    nikkor for the extra sharpness

    stones and metal look really nice when they are really sharp

    I agree too.. add on a light box and mebbe a lighted platform. A piece of foam to hold rings would be good too.

    Agreed. Nikkor 60mm with the items against a dark or black background.
    Peektures come out swee swee liao!
