Default Flickering images

I used videocam to film a slide show which was played on laptop and projected on the wall screen through a projector, but play back the recording shows the picture flickering, why? is there anything to do with the frequency of laptop or videocam?

Tks

I have moved this thread from website feedback section to this subforum. Please try to assess which is the better subforum to post in future.

Your video cam takes a shot at a rate of 50 shots a second. The monitor updates at around 60 times a second. You'll see a band moving vertically along the monitor. If the equipment supports it, you can hook up via firewire to the camera and then out to the projector. Or, if not live, just convert to dv avi and upload to the camera.
