Don't quite understand why in the K100D manual, it states that? Is it only DSLR, as my other prosumer camera uses such with no problem.

Why re-chargable? These days I am beginning to enjoy my K100D even more because I could just pop in the Lithium AAA batteries from Energiser and they last SOOOOOO LOOOOONNNGGG.
Try it and you know what I mean. I still have my re-chargable batteries, but no longer dependent on them. And especially during tours, it's a blessing to use those lithium batteries off the shelf. I don't have to worry about the charging, bringing the right plugs and adapters etc etc... I remember buying the Lithium CRV3 from Energiser and it lasted me close to 4 -5 trips!!! Botanic Gardens, Hong Kong, and finally Cameron Highlands in Malaysia, and finally "died" in the Flower Festival 2007! Just my opinion on the subject. |

http://www.flickr.com/groups/pentax/...7600018072869/ My 2700MAH GP last ~100 to 200 shots over 2-3 weeks... I'm not impressed. Has anyone tried and is quite satisfied with other batteries ? Sanyo eneloop ? |

Just recharge la. At most 4 hours over 2-3 weeks is definitely not painful at all. |

Better options would be either eneloop from Sanyo (or similar products) or Lithium AA. They work very well (for both the camera and flash) by my own experience.
I'd get two sets of eneloop AAs for everyday shooting, and at least one spare set of Lithium AA for backup if I were you Pity the K10D doesn't take these batteries AA anymore ... |

Guys, the lithium AAs (4 in a pack) cost you 14.XX!
Only get that for your travel though. You should still have 1 - 2 sets of eneloops around, or powerex ones around for your regular shoots in Singapore. Try those batteries out, you would not regret it... |

To me the Sanyo eneloops are the best. Lasts quite a while, and best of all you can recharge them a while back and use them later knowing they will still hold their charge. And if my flash gun's AA batteries are running low, I can still use the spare set meant for the camera.

Gave up the rechargable NiMH when Sanyo eneloope was first introduced, Got 2 sets of the Sanyo eneloope AAs for day to day use for flash and camera. Now mostly use it for my flash.

GP also has their "eneloop" battery. It's the shiny green battery. Anyone used before?
Saw them @ NTUC |

Reason i asked is because prior to buying k100d, i had the rechargeable crv (bought from CS), so it's a waste that it cant be used, although yes, i can still use it on my other cam. it also last longer than AA bat. i also had rechargeable AA, 2 sets, that i got it from east gear. but i dont know how long it can last for a full charge. rechargeable more enviro friendly mah, so good to use them. |
