Default Istana Woodneuk: Interior, Exterior

Very interesting and rustic place. Would love to go back again if I have the chance.

Anyways, went during early morning to mid-day period, so did some IR.. =)

Well, here goes (most of the interior shots will be HDR, because I just got my Photomatix, I hope all those more proficient at HDR will let me know what they think, etc; did try to do shots that -required it-):

#1: The stairway

#2: Two shots of the second level, the courtyard or the open part first:

#3: And the hallway to the concrete stairway which is much safer.

#4: The bath-tub room on the first floor:

#5: And I don't know what this is, let's just call it a room:

#6: Two shots of the exterior with IR/HDR

#7

Pretty limited viewpoint unless you are more adventurous, didn't feel like bush-crashing through the foliage to get a wider shot though. =(

Thanks for viewing, all C&C welcome!

Thanks vortex! =)

Did Fluorescent WB for a lot of shots because it looked quite creepy-ish on the LCD screen.. Then tweaked the colour a little to make it have an "old" feel. Hopefully that was achieved.. Because that was my purpose! (for the interior shots anyways)

Was a sunny day, how lucky. It rained around 9 am too!

With espion.

Not that dangerous, really. I wore slippers and I came out unscathed despite all the rubble. Just need to take caution. Once you have walked on the rocks at Changi Beach, rubble is nothing! Of course had espion's advice as to where to step all that, if not I think I'll just happily chiong up the wooden staircase (the picture that I took) and end up with sprained ankle.

There was an ang moh photographer there with some model or something.. Hehe. Very uncooperative leh. My camera aim at one spot they just happily walk to and fro. =( In the end I gave up and moved off.

Francis has given a very good explanation in this thread in the IR section. Complete with photographs and detailed instructions. I seem to have taken an alternative path, that one you have to ask Espion. It's definitely around the Botanic Gardens Bukit Timah entrance though. Espion also mentioned that the other way seem to be blocked due to a locked gate.

The green colour gives it a creepy mood.
