Default Where to buy paper for dye sub printer?

I just bought Canon Selphy ES1 and like to try
unique papers such as credit card size or black n white.

I checked Harvey Norman, Canon Vivo, Challenger Vivo, Popular, MS Colour and Courts
but these papers are not carried.

Any good place to recommend?

Try South Asia Computer in Funan level 3 Tel. 63370871.
I bought credit card/sticker size for the Selphy CP510 there.
Ask for Ming Fang (Supervisor, very friendly Lady)

Just went to Funan yesterday.
I think the most Canon dye sub paper stocked up shops in Funan are:

1) Crystal Systems - #04-37
2) PK computers - #04-07

But they don't give discounts.
South Asia Computers had a package for Canon ES-1 (include a bag and 50 papers)
for $399. Quite an ok deal for me, if I haven't already gotten my printer.

Sorry to OT this thread. Would you mind giving some quick review of the printer here? I am interested to get one. Thanks.

some brief comments:
1) i have not used home inkjet/ dyesub for photo printing before
so I don't know much abt quality at that end.
2) Card reader included is handy. Displaying image at LCD screen
is convenient too. Speed-wise, i would think reasonable wait .
(~1 min per print?)
3) Colour-wise, there are some options, e.g. lighter skin, darker skin,
bright...
But I think it is still better to post-process before sending to printer
4) It has an option to buy battery for portable printing.
Can be a fun thing to do. E.g. road trip, shoot, wait at train station,
can print and share the picts
5) However, running cost is standard for inkjet printing...
u pay for it.
Colour catridge and paper are bundled together as an integrated piece.
I quite like such design, as one can store credit-card paper, B&W, ...
4R postcard with their own respective cartridge.
As per normal dyesub printers, one cannot buy ink to refill the cartridge.
I.e. cost per page is quite easy to calculate.....
6) I haven't tried configuring printer profile (icc) for more accurate colour
printout via computer. But printout from flash card is so-so only....

I have originally considered Selphy 720(?) but the ES1 looks more rugged
and better designed. Also, the ES1 does not require a paper tray since
the paper is integrated to the cartridge.
Other models of Selphy required dedicated tray, i.e. 3R, credit card,
4R size required their respective tray. Quite a hassle to keep stock.

In summary, I find it an ok gadget, but makes me realise
post processing is essential for digital printing.
YMMV.

Btw, last i visited South Asia Computer, it has ES1 at retail price with
freebies (a carrier bag and a pack of 4R paper).
Taking into account of the freebies, (I find the carrier bag quite handy)
i would say the pricing is reasonable, if u r keen on ES1.
(but i am not sure if the bundling is still valid)....

PS: one small surprise (to me at least), the ES1 is made in Japan although
the power supply brick is made in China.... I thought most IT products are
made in China now....

Doesn't ES 1 use ribbon-paper packs? You can't change the paper as it's enclosed in the cartridges.

If you're referring to the packs - give Canon a call.

Erhmmm, not sure the meaning :
"can't change the paper as it's enclosed in the cartridge"

But as noted, "ES1 does not require a paper tray since
the paper is integrated to the cartridge."

If the "integrated catridge-paper" = ribbon-paper pack,
then yeah, it is the same.

Anyway, last afternoon, i bought another 50 piece 4R colour
paper pack for $22 at PK Comp.
This is 44cents per print (4R postcard).

Not really cheap but instant gratification.
YMMV

Mmmm, this thread has gone full cycle back to the relevant thread title

Maybe I should edit the thread title to
"where to buy cheap paper for dye sub printer".

But yeah, if anyone can point us to a cheaper paper source
for Canon ES1 printer, that would be good
