Default S6500FD LENS Problems

for those wif S6500FD beware...

this is wat happen to me... today i was cleaning my filter for my s6500fd.. but i saw a dust on the lens so i take out my filter and clean my lens wif the cleaning solutions. after tat i use lens tissue to wipe away the cleaning solution... i saw bubbles inside the lens and found tat the cleaning solution had seeped into the lens... i thought the lens should be air tight but how come the solution was able to seeped into the lens.

go down to the service center. they told me they nv see this type of problem b4 and told me worse come to worse they will hav to change my whole lens. they say will call back to me when the technicals look in to the problem.

dunno wat to do now... if change lens is very ex... dunno how much they will quote me...

so need some advices from CSers.

This things can happen to any camera. Fluid can do great damage directly or eventually (fungus etc).
The fixed lens can prevent dust from getting onto CCD directly; however, it is NOT waterproof.
Did you "dropped" the fluid directly onto the lens? The usual way is to apply one drop onto lens paper, then lightly wipe the lens.

I think you better keep quiet...
cos in the first place you ain't suppose to pour any liquid over the lens and also they didn't warrant the camera as waterproof or even splashproof.
