Tips for purchasing Teleconvertor

Hi, I'm going to buy 2x TC soon. Beside vignetting, any other things need to check before purchase?

Any dust or scratch ?

usual stuffs .. and whether the 2x is really a 2x hee

bring you camera to the shop, take a few photos and then go home...and check the images for image quality i.e. shrapness, soft sides of the image (when it should not be)..etc

dont feel pressued to buy the TC on the spot, no matter what kind of 'special' price they have for you.
