I have received confirmed information from a source that there will be limited sets of the above mentioned named lens for sale at the Nikon booth at the IT Show at Suntec City on 13th - 16th March, Convention Hall 4.
The sale will be in conjunction with Harvey Norman, and as a result their usual sales packages, such as 0% installment options, will be available. Good luck getting your set - get there early! |

has this lens available worldwide? Anybody owns or have tested this lens? Is it better than the 80-200mm AFS optically? What's the street price?

Arrgh!!!! Just when I'm broke!
The lens has been reviewed by many; just visit DPReview... Much better than the 80-400 VR lens. Guess I will have to wait for the second batch to buy later... |

Harvey Norman!! Price going to be way above what you possibly can get at the local AP/CP etc (market rate and all) So you'll be pay a huge premium, but guess for the 1st mover...that is the price to pay. ![]() |

I will wait for a while till the price more or less stable. Too expensive now to buy thing in Singapore compared to others.

Ok, you can read the various informal review in the Nikon SLR forum pages. You can also search for some other much more professional and exhaustive reviews announced there as well. Sorry if I gave the impression that Phil Askley did the review; he did NOT.
